About Me
Hi, I’m Ali Ghorbani AKA “Coughy”
I write fiction, poetry, research papers, and develop experimental tools across philosophy, linguistics, computation, and consciousness studies. My work spans many domains, but all share the same theme: breaking inherited structures — whether linguistic, conceptual, or computational — to see what grows in the cracks.
I explore intersections between human cognition, altered states, language, and machine intelligence. I also build software tools, write experimental poetry, and maintain my online wiki documenting altered states of consciousness.
Some of my projects include:
- Contraculator — a philosophical numerical system.
- Flatshot — flatten entire codebases for AI processing.
- Fa_Docs — a Persian typography extension for Google Docs.
- Enpsyclopedia — a conceptual database on consciousness.
My work often mixes formal structure with surrealistic or playful elements. Whether in code or poetry, I focus on rewiring assumptions — seeing what happens when you loosen a system from its historical constraints.
